Red Ribbon Tack, LLC

Classic and Custom for Discerning Equestrians

How I work with Riders

Red Ribbon Tack is a tack consulting business serving riders across the Southeast. After 40 years as a trainer and rider, I help you navigate equipment decisions based on what actually works for your horse - not what's trending on Instagram.

I specialize in fit-first consultations for horses of all types: ponies, thoroughbreds, cow horses, drafts, everything in between. I use cross-discipline knowledge to get you the best tack for your horse, your riding, and your program. Sometimes that means connecting you with custom makers for specialty items you've dreamed of. Sometimes it means telling you that you don't need anything at all.

Good horsemanship is expensive enough without double-buying to chase trends. Some new products are genuine improvements. Others exist because selling you a saddle pad that lasts 20 years doesn't make money - so companies make inferior products with flashy marketing, and you'll buy 10 over the years instead of 1 or 2.

I sell equestrian equipment because it supports sound horsemanship principles and helps riders and horses progress - not to move inventory. Whether it's helping you build your brand for horse shows, explaining that the right saddle won't take you up two levels but can make you more comfortable at your current level, or connecting you with the right makers - I probably know a guy.

Draper Therapies 'Perfect' Polo
$75.00

There's a reason these have a cult following—they solve the "protection vs. therapy" compromise most polo wraps force you to make.

The inner half uses Draper's Celliant-infused material, which converts your horse's body heat into far infrared energy that increases local blood flow during work. The outer shell is Saratoga Bandage material with patented silicone application that prevents slipping and bunching—ensuring secure fit and even pressure distribution during training.

The combination means your horse gets therapeutic benefits (increased tissue oxygenation, faster recovery, enhanced performance) while you get reliable protection that stays put. The outer material stays breathable and light even when wet - carrying only 3 oz. of water in the worst conditions.

Made in the USA. Machine washable, dryer safe. The Celliant minerals are infused into the fiber core, so the therapeutic effect doesn't wash or wear out.

Sold in pairs.

FDA-recognized medical device. Protection and therapy in one wrap that actually delivers.

Pravins Sellier Spur Guards
$40.00

French-crafted leather spur guards that solve two problems at once. More contact points between spur and boot means significantly less shifting during work. The leather barrier prevents spurs from rubbing shine marks and dimples into your boots.

An easy, inexpensive way to add a pop of color to your turnout. Pravins releases limited color runs as new leathers arrive in their workshop. Available colors vary by stock.
