Red Ribbon Tack, LLC

Classic and Custom for Discerning Equestrians

How I work with Riders

Red Ribbon Tack is a tack consulting business serving riders across the Southeast. After 40 years as a trainer and rider, I help you navigate equipment decisions based on what actually works for your horse - not what's trending on Instagram.

I specialize in fit-first consultations for horses of all types: ponies, thoroughbreds, cow horses, drafts, everything in between. I use cross-discipline knowledge to get you the best tack for your horse, your riding, and your program. Sometimes that means connecting you with custom makers for specialty items you've dreamed of. Sometimes it means telling you that you don't need anything at all.

Good horsemanship is expensive enough without double-buying to chase trends. Some new products are genuine improvements. Others exist because selling you a saddle pad that lasts 20 years doesn't make money - so companies make inferior products with flashy marketing, and you'll buy 10 over the years instead of 1 or 2.

I sell equestrian equipment because it supports sound horsemanship principles and helps riders and horses progress - not to move inventory. Whether it's helping you build your brand for horse shows, explaining that the right saddle won't take you up two levels but can make you more comfortable at your current level, or connecting you with the right makers - I probably know a guy.

Pravins Sellier Wide Stirrup Leathers
$175.00

Wide stirrup leathers made with high-quality chrome-tanned and pre-stretched leather. Developed in partnership with Michel Robert and used by international show jumping riders.

The wider design provides exceptional stability while maintaining freedom of movement, and the construction prevents twisting under load; a problem that plagues traditional stirrup leathers. Pre-stretching in the tannery means consistent performance from day one, eliminating the break-in period and maintaining reliable length over time.

Crafted by Atelier de Pravins using traditional French techniques. The pre-stretched leather delivers the comfort, stability and durability that both amateur and professional riders demand.

I've had my pair for years. They've outlasted plenty of other things and still look like they could go another decade. Clean with glycerin saddle soap; skip oils and lubricants that can compromise the leather integrity.

Built to outlast everything else in your tack room
